Mainers love their pets. Today, 63.5% of Maine households own a pet. And Maine really shines when it comes to our feline friends. Our state ranks 2nd for cat ownership at 43.8% (only Vermont has more). Yet, at the same time, there are many cats and kittens across the state in need of a home.
That is why Town & Country is teaming up with the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland to launch Novem-purr. A monthlong partnership whose goal is to spotlight the need to cat adoptions across our community.
Starting November 1st, we will feature a different cat available for adoption every Tuesday and Thursday in November. In addition, Town & Country will make a $100 contribution in conjunction with each cat spotlighted in support of the work of the ARLGP. Ten cats will be spotlighted in total for a $1,000 contribution to the non-profit.
