Encourage your kids to save with free youth accounts

Opening a youth account is easy. Be sure to bring the original copy of the child’s Social Security card and/or original copy of their birth certificate.  

Once a teenager becomes 18, a $25 minimum balance is required in their savings account.  The parent, grandparent, or guardian can sign off the account if they want to at that time.

Absolutely. Through online banking you can make one-time transfers to cover things like gas or spending money or set up automatic reoccurring transfers for things like allowance. 

All Town & Country account users are eligible to sign up for online banking and our mobile app.  

Children of all ages can visit a branch to deposit or withdraw money from their savings account. Teenagers 14 and over with a checking account and debit card can use an ATM or download the Town & Country app to make mobile deposits. 

Yes, but both parents or guardians would need to give permission and be present to add the second parent (or guardian) to the child’s account once it has been opened.   Some families find it easier to have both parents (or guardians) present at the time of account opening.
